We met up with Faith, Lee and the girls today for brunch at The Herb Box in Eden Prairie. It was soo good. How can you really go wrong with red velvet pancakes topped with mascarpone creme, fresh fruit, and gran marnier syrup.
Today, Remy and I started an Early Childhood Education Class through the Prior Lake/Savage school district and Stella would be going to sibling care in the room across the hall. This was a huge step for both of us since Stella hasn't been cared for by a stranger in a long time. Miss Out-going ran in the room and didn't look back. She loves her teacher, Ms. Moe. You can tell it's a success when she doesn't want to leave and go home!
Having fun in Stella's crib after her nap. Remy looks forward to this moment everyday and actually giggles and starts flapping his arms and legs when I open the door to her dark room.
We started a babysitting swap with our neighbors, Jill, Josh, and their son, Tyler. We'll take turns watching each others kids at least once a month. We're looking forward to having a guaranteed night out minus the cost of a babysitter. They had a lot of fun!
Stella likes to take care of her baby brother. Here, she made him a bed with a pillow and proceeded to cover him with blankets. He doesn't seem to mind.
Ugh, sometimes Stella and Chapstick don't mix. I knew I should have peeked in her tent sooner because this is what she was up to...."I put lip stuff on, Mommy."
We got a babysitter tonight and went out for some sushi. Our meal was so good! I had a diet coke (can't remember the last time I had caffeine!) and some incredible rolls.
We couldn't get a babysitter for New Year's Eve, so we decided to have some fun at the MOA. Stella met Sponge Bob and had to show him her dance moves, skips, and hops. Below, she's really excited to be above 36" to go on more rides!
Christmas Eve. We had a nice dinner at home and I made my first ham, which turned out amazing! Above, Stella is drinking sparkling juice out of her own fancy glass. Grammy Chris read Stella 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. Stella set out milk and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.
Stella and Grammy Chris are playing with stickers until our food is ready (at Red Lobster). Stella couldn't get enough lobster, snow crab, and shrimp. Expensive tastes for a 2 year old.
